The word "Artemystic" combines the aspects of Artemis and Mystical. Artemis was not only a huntress, she was the protector of birth, creation. The daughter of Zeus and Demeter, she is the one who travels in dark places only to be reborn anew. Each of us contains and bit of Artemis in us. It is this force which compels us to look beyond the known and to seek the deeper realms within us. In this exploration, we discover not only our own inner warriors but also our own mystical explorers. Accessing these realms is what Artemystic Studios is all about.

The process of creating artwork is a vulnerable and intimate experience. When we create art, we are reaching into places within ourselves that have likely never seen the light of day. We are concretizing thoughts and feelings such that they can be witnessed by ourselves and possibly by the world as well. Who are we to think we are talented enough to do such a thing? I must be so! Without the will to express, nothing can ever happen. Without the bravery to be vulnerable, nothing true can ever be created.
